Shadows flickered across the hotel building as the dawn came. The morning dew was on all the garbage cans outside the hotel, latching on to a dog's pelt as they walked by. The shadows lessend, until only one shadow remained. The shadow took the form of a medium sized dog. The shadow grew larger as the dog neared, until the dog it`s self came out. Crimson eyes stood out from the blue fur, and the spiked collar. As he walked, he picked up a scent, but showed no hostility. This wasn`t his territory, and had no right to defend it. Still, he braced himself, just incase.

The black form stood out against the white sheets of the bed as the sun's rays peaked in through the window. Her pit like head rose up and looked around. She was still alive to see another day, at least this place seemed to be safe enough. Kira lifted her body up and pushed her forlegs in front of her and pushed her rear high into the sky. The bed, for the most part, looked unused. How would it look later if her plan from last night worked? She was planning on leading a pack based out of this hotel. It was safe even if they all lived in this room at the top of the stairs. As long as that door shut and the window did not break they would live under the same roof that so many humans came and went. They never stayed for to long always on the go those humans. She moved toward the bathroom in hopes that water would be in the never empty bowl but as she peaked over the side a rat jumped at her. She jumped backwards falling into the closet causing the iron board to fall from within it. She laid still in the closet looking around her, Kira's heart racing as she slowly crawls out of the small space. She growled softly and moved back into the main room and toward the door. She really hoped that she had not been seeing things last night and she would be able to get out, otherwise she would have to break the window.
Kira lofted herself onto her back legs and reached for the knob to pull it down. She had learned this trick in her human's house. She would let herself out all the time, it's and easy thing to do once you learn it. The door popped open as her paw hit it for the thrid time and she removed her weight and pushed it open with her nose. She poked her head out of the door and looked around before moving back down the stairs. She was safe in the day so her worries now only remained on those who were like her. Looking for a home. She moved out of the hotel and caught wind of a new smell. A male. Had he claimed this area already? She had not smelt anything last night or this morning. She moved toward him. Her body was on full alert and she walked with a large amount of pride in her step. She did not know who this was but she was not going to let him think she was a push over. Nope, she could stand her ground as good as any male. She has scars to prove it. Her fighter blood boils as she draws closer to the blue tinted male. She controls the feeling to just snap his neck and be over with it. She was also trying to build up a pack so he may be a good pack memeber to think about. Her amber eyes bore into him as she waited for him to say something. Better not say the wrong thing or that pot may boil over.

The blue dog looked at the female. This be your territory? said the male. He looked at the other dog. This dog looks like she went through a tough time... Maybe to get this territory? He thought. He was ruffled lightly by the cool, mysterious wind. Some of the wind got under his spiked collar. It felt nice... Hurricane dazed off for a second..

Kira's eyes stayed locked on the muti-hued male as her ears flickered slightly to catch his words. She knew the answer was not really, after all she only showed up here the night before and did not know if another group owned it. However, saying that it was not her's would leave it open for him to take. Her lip raised slightly to show the tips of her canine's as a reminder to this male that she did not take kind to funny BS. She had no idea what he wanted and males were hard to trust, they come and go like the rains. Her eyes left his for a moment, letting his question linger in the air, she looked him over. She was a little taller then he, she thought, she had always been more leg then body anyways. Mix of Wolf and Ridgeback would do that. He did not seem to be a threat to her, his body was relaxed compared to her's. His scent was strong and she could not pick up anything that would say he was here to win. She moved a few steps closer to him with her head high and tail raised above her back. She would not let him think for a moment that he had any kind of upper hand and would enjoy it if he lowered his body. Of course there was no reason for him to but hell he might just get points. In a hushed tone let her words roll into his ears. Who is asking?

Hurricane's fur stayed flat, and his voice was calm. A wanderer by the name of Hurricane, is asking. Hurricane lowered himself to the female, not looking for a fight. She was here first, so Hurricane accepted that. He looked her straight in the eye. Who shall you be? Hurricane asked.

[OOC: Damn I had a nice post and then I hit a link at the bottom of the page and it went bye bye so here is a half assed one. Also, I know it's not a site rule but any chance you could add more to your posts? You don't give me much to go off of. Thanks.]
Kira waited for him to speak again before taking a few steps back, his words and actions relaxed her some. He did not seem to be a threat and there was no reason to keep pushing herself on him. Her point was made. She lowered herself to her rump watching the dog infront of her. Her eyes flicker away to watch a leaf travel across the road and fall on the sidewalk. She glanced at Hurricane and the back toward the stairs she had just come down. A yawn caused her jaw to open wide and her head to tilt back. She could use another round of sleep but she had to stay awake to insure she would sleep tonight. She moved her amber eyes back to the male and her words flowed forward with little effort. Her voice was calm and held no under lining tones this time. I am Kira. Why are you here? It's not safe.

Hurricane looked at Kira. He watched her eyes flicker to something further behind, then back at him. Hurricane watched her look back at the stairs she came on down, then back at him. When the question on why he was here, he hesitated. Hurricane answered carefully; planning out each word. I am here because... Hurricane paused for a second. ...I was scavanging for food, Hurricane continued. Then I came across this hotel. And that is why I am here. Hurricane sat up straight, and flicked his ear.
